The objective of this research project is to understand how communication within couples contributes to the quality of romantic relationships in young adults. This research project is funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture.

Participation in this study involves completing online questionnaires about different aspects of the romantic relationship (satisfaction, conflicts, sexuality, etc.) and participating in a session of approximately 2h30 on Zoom. This session consists of completing questionnaires and participating in videotaped discussions with your partner (e.g., subjets of disagreement).

 

A financial compensation of $ 80 will be given to couples at the end of the online session.

Who can participate?

All couples aged between 18 and 29 who have been together for at least 2 month can participate in this study.

Participants must understand written and spoken French.

Communication Project

Digital technologies and communication project

The objective of this research project is to understand the role of digital technologies in the communication of young adult couples. This research project is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

Participation in this study implies that the two partners complete online questionnaires on different aspects of the romantic relationship (satisfaction, conflicts, sexuality, etc.) and participate in a session of approximately 2h30 in our laboratory at the Université de Montréal. This session consists of completing questionnaires and participating in videotaped discussions with your partner face-to-face and via text messaging (e.g., subjects of disagreement).

 

A financial compensation of 100$ will be given to couples at the end of the laboratory meeting. 

Who can participate?

All couples aged between 18 and 29 who have been together for at least 2 months can participate in this study.
